NSP English Ironstone is a rich rust colour with elements of brown, green and cream adding character to this robust stone from the heart of England. The stone was proposed by Natural Stone Projects and selected by designers Faye Toogood for the new global stores of luxury British brand, Mulberry. It appears in the flagship store on Regent St, London and has been shipped across to Australia for the Mulberry emporium in Melbourne, where the stone is used as shelving to display the latest collections.
The stone has traditionally been used for exterior building. It is available in slabs up to 1200x600mm . Larger sizes can be accommodated if thickness can be increased to 40 or 50mm. As a block it can be extracted in much larger pieces. It has recently been specified for a large plinth for a bronze sculpture for an exterior UK project by the British sculptor Owen Bullett.
The optimum tile size would be 500mm high by random length. For small quantities lead time is around 3-4 weeks. For large blocks and larger sizes or quantities allow 6 weeks minimum.
