How to Commission a Stone Sculpture – CPD course for BIID members is being presented by Caroline Zanarotti, Director of Natural Stone Projects in collaboration with Paul Vanstone, sculptor at the 2016 on form stone sculpture exhibition

Course: The size, weight and variation of stone can make a commission a daunting prospect. This course addresses those concerns and other practical considerations alongside how to achieve the best result through dialogue with the artist. One of the artists exhibiting, Paul Vanstone will be joining Caroline to provide advice and insight. The location allows attendees to go around the exhibition and stunning gardens designed by I & J Bannerman following the talk. The Potting Shed Café will also be open for  a delicious supper.

This course can also be booked as a presentation at a later date through the BIID http://biid.org.uk/cpd/cpd-providers-directory/natural-stone-projects . This will include video interview with Paul Vanstone.

The on form stone sculpture exhibition runs from Sunday 12th June to Sunday, 10th July2016. (12 noon to 6pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays, open till 9pm on Thursdays.) It features 268 sculptures by 39 sculptors from all over the UK, Norway, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands and is set in the beautiful gardens and interior of Asthall Manor.
